- how long did it take from 'green light' to filming commencing
It was green lit in 2008 when quantum of solice was released and filming began 7th of November 2011, therefore it took 3 years to commence filming.

Production
- where was it 'filmed'
Filming locations included Hashima Island Japan, England UK and various areas of Turkey.
- how was it filmed (3D, 2D, CGI)?
It was filmed in 2D and featured some CGI.
- any problems it faced
There were some production set backs due to MGM's financial troubles.

Yes as many action scenes used special effects.

Special effects used are CGI, minitures(scale models to be blown up and destroyed for action scenes), matte painting(backgrounds), green screen,

No.

There were no re shoots required. 

Marketing

The film was marketed with trailers. posters, website advertisments, synergy marketing with coca cola and early screenings.

Skyfalll premiered in London at the Royal Albert Hall on 23rd of October 2012
